Everything's Bigger in Texas

They aren't kidding.
This huge grasshopper was on our screen the other day. It was 3 inches long and the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. My hand is there as a reference. Don't worry it was outside on the screen and my hand was safely inside on the glass.

The sky here is HUGE and the sunsets are gorgeous.

The biggest thing in Texas...my HEART. It loves this girl so much.
Notice the nice red mark on her cheek. It was our first big owie. She was kneeling and took a dive onto her toy box. I am afraid this won't be the last of her owies. The same day she hit her head on the entertainment center. Poor girl.

Oh I can empathize with you and the big bugs down there in Texas. I lived there for 3 years and was horrified with the big cockroaches and cicadas ! Elise is too cute.

Loved the pictures. Glad you are enjoying yourselves even if you have to be so far away! Can't wait to see you in a week.

Looks like you will have a little one walking really soon. Oh boy get ready, she will really keep you running then.

Big bugs = big screams for my husband to come get rid of them.

when we flew home from Utah, we had a lay over in Houston and Taylor asked me where that was, I told her Texas. She said "Oh mommy, that is where McKayla's little cousin moved to." I had to explain to her that Elise was not her cousin, but a friend. Kids are so funny. When you heading out that way?

Elise is getting so big! Aw the critters of the southwest. Have you found any scorpions in your house yet? In Arizona we had to worry about scorpions of all sizes and strengths of vemon, sewer roaches, taranchulas, rattle snakes, king snakes, coyotes, etc.
